Event Details

The Event? 

A unique, new event to the lead buying and selling marketplace–Leads2007. When asked to explain the event I am describing it as an on-demand unconference.

On-Demand: Delivering instant gratification and immediacy of use based on you creating and participating directly in the agenda of the event.

Unconference: Leads2007 takes the “experts” off the stage and engages the daily operators in the “audience” to discuss real needs and solutions

Kaleidico has gotten the ball rolling, but this is YOUR conference. There is a lot to do in a short amount of time so if you want to make this valuable to you, you need to participate.

The Vision? 

Make the Internet lead market bigger, by:

  • Making the lead life cycle a more seamless process, thereby delivering a better consumer experience
  • Getting lead providers to think more creatively about focusing on the success of sales. For example, getting closer to buyer intent, delivering on demand, working more as a marketplace
  • Getting lead management to think more creatively about focusing on the success of the lead ( i.e., consumer). For example, getting closer to the point of generation, improving standardization of lead receipt and marketing (i.e., lead provider) feedback, increasing the capabilities of complex and productive lead workflows (may not share this--it is a big competitive advantage and getting bigger with each new release)
  • Getting lenders to think more creatively about focusing on leads (i.e., consumers) as assets. For example, ensuring that they have processes and systems that compel follow-up and follow-through and every lead, understanding what makes a lead and how to approach that consumer type, increasing standardization in evaluating lead providers and marketing performance, increasing their marketing horizon beyond the 30 day funding cycle
There are probably a lot more ways to achieve the vision but these are seeds. My hope is that we create a more innovative, thoughtful, and creative core of leadership in this industry that goes out and makes the market bigger and more effective for all of us trying reach Lambo level in this space.

I also want others to be able to achieve their vision and objectives, that is why it is "open source" so to speak. What would you hope a conference, event, or gathering like this might bring?
